Desert Food

Desert food is normal food that has been in your pack in the desert for too long. The funny thing about desert food is that, by the time you get around to eating it, it's not clear which looks worse, the desert food or the desert food eater!

Desert Sandwich

The famous Charlie Potter eating the prototype of all desert food.
This was a PBandJ sandwich that had been in Paria Canyon a bit too long. Charlie describes it as: "Peanut butter and jelly among reconstituted bread dough".

Desert Donut

Here I am doing my best to fill Charlie's shoes. I'm pretty sure this sprinkle-donut never made it into my collection for obvious reasons.

Desert Bagel

Here's my nephew Jeb showing real potential. This was a PBandJ bagel that had only been in his pack for one day in Mind Bender fork of Robber's Roost Canyon.
(It's true, it was a warm day and RR Canyon is not exactly your everyday desert stroll!)
